Laura King is a writer at heart. She's been coming up with stories since she, and her family, can remember. Yet to be published, she's come a far way from playing with horses in her backyard, and has a number of manuscripts and short stories under her belt. Also an avid gamer, when she's not writing, Laura can be found in full nerd attire, headset strapped to skull, chatting away with friends on XBox as she crushes the Covenant and assassinates some Reds on Halo.

A UCD graduate in Communications and East Asian Studies (which was more of a hobby than an actual career direction), Laura spent two years working in the entertainment industry in Los Angeles, where she learned she 100%, without a doubt, did not want to write movies or television. She has since moved back to Northern California where she is currently working on getting her teaching credential to become a high school English teacher.

Laura's ultimate writing goal is to get published and see her novels in physical form for sale on the shelves of bookstores everywhere. She hopes becoming a teacher will not only set her on a career path she'll love, but will give her precious time during vacations and summer to work on her writing.
